Devizes RFC Floodlights and Grounds Improvement Project Summer 2013

Contents Pictures to demonstrate our plans – Permanent Floodlights – Car Park Upgrade – General Pitch Maintenance – Pitch-side Drainage and Walkway – Pitch-side Safety Fencing – Pitch-side Dug Outs – Enhanced Spectator Viewing Facilities – Upgrade Training Area Lights

Permanent Floodlights – Top Pitch 8 permanent floodlights will be installed on this pitch fully funded by a Wiltshire County Council Section 106 grant

Car Park Improvements – Funded by DRFC Our car park on a typical match day Our Current car park. The area marked in red will be replaced by hard standing and the remainder of the area re-dressed all using 100% recycled material from a local (less than a mile away) project.

General Pitch Maintenance We will Shockwave Aerate, de- compact, re-seed, weed supress and Hollow Bore treat our 2 pitches and training area. DRFC will pick up the full cost of this work.

Pitch-side Drainage and Walkway This area directly adjacent to our Club house has serious drainage issues (the red line shows where the touchline should be!) This will be dug out, proper drainage installed and an artificial 3G grass walkway installed.

Pitch-side Safety Fencing We plan to install a safety fence along the red line to encompass the entire pitch (see Ground Plan Drawing for more detail) to match the fence already in place on the far side of the pitch.

Pitch-side Dug Outs Two Dug-Outs on hard standing concrete to be installed on the far touchline.

Enhanced Spectator Viewing Facilities The top will be removed from the retaining wall and a split level patio installed to give additional standing room for spectators. This will be bounded along the red line by the pitch-side safety fence described above.

Upgrade Training Area Lights Heads to be upgraded to brighter lights We currently have 8 permanent ‘training’ lights situated on our training area, the light is of poor quality (very yellow) we plan to upgrade these running a power spur from the new electric supply that is already being installed for the main floodlights
