2 DEVELOPING VS. DEVELOPED Look at the pictures and determine if the people are living in a developing country or a developed country. What clues help you figure out the type of standard of living?

7 Basic Needs vs. Wants List out all of your Basic Needs for survival under the basic needs column List all of your Wants and the resources that are used to make your wants in the wants column.

8 Use These Necessities…. Need to Add up to $365!!!! Food = $50-100per year Housing = $ 60-100 per year Clothing = $ 10-50 per year Transportation = $ 30-80 per year Taxes = $ 50 per year Medical Care = $ 50-100 per year Extra Things (entertainment, vacations, sports, etc.) = $ 50-100 per year

9 Budgeting $365 a year Imagine you made only $365 a year in your country. You need to budget out your basic needs with this income in order to survive. Fill in the chart and the dollar amount that you would use. Your total will add up to $365. What would be your first priority? How would your lifestyle choices change? What other forms of jobs or means would you do to get more money?
