2 Example A cyclist rides from Kingston to Stratford. Answer the following questions: What time did the cyclist rest during his journey to Stratford? 10-11am How far did the cyclist ride in total? 120km Find the cyclist’s speed from 8-10am. Speed = Distance / Time = 10km/h What was the cyclist’s maximum speed? = 60 / 2 = 30km/h What was the cyclist’s average speed across the journey? = 120 / 9 = 13.33km/h ? ? ? ? ?
