5 The Russian Empire was huge!  covered 1/6 th of the earth’s surface  You could fit 90 Britains into Russia

6 But a lot of the land was useless -Mountains -Cold Arctic air -Forests In 1900 only 5% of the land was used for farming Industry and Trade were also affected Why??
