2 Begonia x semperflorens Wax Begonias
1. Grow 6”–12” high with pink, red or white flowers 2. Spaced 6”-10” and need direct sunlight 3. May be propagated from seeds or cuttings and transplanted

3 Cultural Requirements
Begonias 1. Time from seeding to market in packs is about 14 weeks and in pots is about 16 weeks 2. Small seeds should be lightly pressed into surface of germinating medium 3. Germination requires light and 65 - 70 F medium temperature 4. Can be propagated by stem-tip cuttings 5. Plants do well in full sun to shade

4 Pelargonium x hortorum Geraniums
1. Grow 12”-18”, leaves are rounded with scalloped edges, flowers are red, white or pink and grow on a stem, flowers have many petals in a cluster shaped like a ball. About 2/3 or plants sold are red. Leaves are dark green. 2. Need direct sunlight and 10”-12” spacing 3. May be propagated from seeds or cuttings and transplanted

5 Geraniums 1. Time from seeding to market in packs is about 14 weeks and in pots is about 16 weeks 2. Seeds are large and have to be scarified because of hard seed coats 3. Seed suppliers usually scarify before packing for sale. Seeds should be covered with 1/8 inch of medium 4. Medium (soil mix) should be about 75 F. 5. Can be propagated from cuttings

1. Grow from 6” to 4’ tall with orange or yellow flowers, have pungent aroma 2. Spaced 6”-12” apart and grow best in full sunlight 3. Grown from seeds and transplanted

10 Marigolds 1. Time from seeding to market is about 9 weeks in packs and 10 weeks in pots 2. Seeds should be covered by ¼” of germinating medium 3. Germinating medium should be 70 -75 F 4. Outdoor plants grow in full light for best quality Vary in size from 6” to 4 feet 5. Vary in size from 6” to 4 feet 6. Have pungent aroma—smell like marigolds 7. Have very few cultural problems
