7. Sorting (Cont’d) Fabric Delicate fabrics should be washed with other delicate fabrics. You would not put a silk shirt in the wash with blue jeans. Lint Do not mix lint receivers (ie: polyester & nylon) with lint givers (ie: terrycloth & flannel) if you do not separate these articles you will have balls of fuzz all over your clothes.

8. Sorting (Cont’d) Soil Very dirty clothes should be kept separate from other items in the wash to keep them from getting dirty. Size Bulky items should be washed on their own so that they can be cleaned most effectively.
