2. Welcome to Cy-Fair Soccer Cy-Fair Soccer is a Non-Profit 501(c)3 Charitable Corporation. Cy-Fair Soccer is run by an all-volunteer board of directors. We depend on volunteers to make our organization a success.

3. TYSA and STYSA Timberline Youth Soccer Association (TYSA) is a member organization of a hierarchy organizations that govern recreational and competitive youth soccer in the US. South Texas Youth Soccer Association (STYSA) is TYSA’s immediate parent organization.

4. TYSA and STYSA All play is sanctioned by FIFA (The International Soccer Federation). FIFA sanctions USSF (United States Soccer Federation), which in turn sanctions the United States Youth Soccer Association, which in turn sanctions STYSA. Cy-Fair Soccer Club is one (1) of ten (10) members of TYSA.

8. Code of Conduct Players and Parents are expected to sign a Code of Conduct Form. Forms turned into office by a team representative within 1 week after start of season. Coaches are responsible for players and parents conduct.

9. Code of Conduct Coaches are also required to sign a Code of Conduct Form. Coaches are responsible for many things other than teaching game of soccer. Your actions, ideas, sportsmanship, and behavior on and off the field will be remembered the rest of their lives. Due within 1 week of start of season. Be a Positive Role Model!

10. First Touch Program (FTP) The First Touch Program is designed to ensure young players (U5) receive quality training during their first year of soccer. Players receive instruction from licensed and professional trainers from Dynamos Select Soccer. Emphasis of First Touch Program is for the kids to have fun and develop as a player.

11. First Touch Program First Touch begins September 11, 2013 Wednesdays from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM Program runs for 10 weeks, ends November 13 th Meet on Field 6 near Gazebo. Bring ball (No. 3), shin guards, and water!

12. First Touch Program Players divided into smaller play groups. Staff trainers work with multiple player groups. Uniform color for each group; meet with same group each week. Big game at end of season to allow young players to show off skills. Medals provided to all participants.

Future Stars Included in registration fee; available to all U6 – U8 players Each age group trains with Dynamo’s Select Trainers ◦ U8 Boys/Girls: Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 PM ◦ U7 Boys/Girls: Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:30 PM ◦ U6 Boys/Girls: Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30 PM U6 Boys/Girls teams may practice one (1) other evening; location/time determined by coach.

14. U6 Players 3 v 3 Format, No. 3 ball Smallest Fields and Goals Volunteer Coach Four (4) 8 minute periods; 2 minutes between periods, 5 minute half No “Designated” Goal Keeper All players are required to play 50% of each game.

15. U7 – U8 Players Training for U7/U8 Players ◦ Dynamos Select Soccer will provide professional training for each U7, U8 individual team. ◦ Head trainer determines curriculum; staff trainers train with individual teams. ◦ One staff trainer will be at each league game to assist both coaches/teams.

16. U7 – U8 Players Program includes three (3) weeks of group training. ◦ Staff trainers will be assigned to each team to assist with player/coach development. Group training with Dynamo’s Select Trainers for 1 st three weeks…. ◦ U8 Boys/Girls: Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 PM ◦ U7 Boys/Girls: Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:30 PM

17. U7 – U8 Players Team training with Dynamo’s Select Trainers 1 st 3 weeks… ◦ U8 Boys/Girls: Wednesdays 6:45 – 7:45 PM ◦ U7 Boys/Girls: Thursdays 6:45 – 7:45 PM Team training with Dynamo’s Select Trainers after 3 weeks… ◦ U8 Boys/Girls: Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 PM ◦ U7 Boys/Girls: Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:30 PM Teams may practice one (1) other evening; location/time determined by coach.

18. U7 – U8 Players Each team must have active volunteer coach. ◦ Staff trainer provides instruction during training and works in concert with coaches during games. Training staff will implement a US Soccer Curriculum which is age appropriate. Focus is player development rather than team development.

19. U7 – U8 Players 4 v 4 Format, No. 3 ball Smaller Fields and Goals Format provides for more touches per player Four (4) 10 minute periods; 2 minutes between periods, 5 minute half No “Designated” Goal Keeper All players are required to play 50% of each game.

20. U9 – U10 Players 6 v 6 Format, No. 4 ball Medium-sized Fields and Goals Two (2) 25 minute periods; 5 minute half- time Goal Keeper introduced, 5 field players Off side rule in place All players are required to play 50% of each game.

21. Academy Program Dynamo Select Soccer offers an Academy program for all U9 and U10 age players. The purpose of this program is to provide an advanced training program for those players that desire a more focused training approach. Full and Half Academy options for Cy-Fair Soccer Club players.

22. U9-U10 Scoring System 3 points for a win 1 point for a tie Zero points for loss No additional points for goals scored Games decided by a difference of 7 goals or more will result in zero points awarded to winning team!

23. U9-U10 Game Report All coaches of U9 and U10 teams must turn in a game report. Game reports are the responsibility of the home team, but should be brought to the game by both coaches. These can be printed from GotSoccer. Filled out game reports must be presented to the referee prior to the start of the game by the home team.

24. U9-U10 Game Report Both teams shall check in with the referee, who will confirm the rosters. After game is complete, referee will note official score on game card. Each coach shall record the game score directly into the GotSoccer system. If the entries match, the game will automatically be entered into the system. Otherwise, the scheduler will enter the score noted on the official game card.

25. U9-U10 Game Report The report must also be turned in by winning team by either e-mailing to scheduler@cyfairsoccer.org, or drop it in the mailbox at the gazebo. The original game report will be used in case of dispute. scheduler@cyfairsoccer.org All game reports are due into the scheduler by the Monday following the game.

26. Rescheduling Games Cy-Fair Soccer Club Scheduler handles the U6- U10 Teams; U11 & up teams are scheduled through TYSA. (www.timberlinesoccer.com). Each team may re-schedule only one (1) game during the season. Both coaches must agree to the re-schedule. No games will be re-scheduled in the last two (2) weeks of the season.

27. Rescheduling Games The team initiating the change will send a written request to the scheduler at least 10 days prior to the original game via email at scheduler@cyfairsoccer.org with the revised date and time requested for the re-scheduled game. The scheduler will then contact you once the rescheduled game is approved. The scheduler has the right to deny the request for any reason.scheduler@cyfairsoccer.org

28. Team Manager Each team is required to have a team manager. The team manager assists the coach/trainer with team communication. Register as team manager through “GotSoccer” system.

29. Coaches Guide After receiving roster, contact all players on your roster within 4 days. Coaches may not switch players or alter roster in any way. Set time and place for first practice, as applicable. Register yourself, assistant coaches, team managers, etc. in GotSoccer. You must register and complete background check in order to have access to your team information and view the fall schedules.

31. Coaches Guide As a team, pick a team name. Contact with Cy-Fair Soccer should include team age group, gender, and coaches name. The system does not list teams by team names. Select Team Manager. Sign coaches conduct form and inform parents of Cy-Fair Soccer’s expectations for behavior while at the park.

32. Coaches Guide Home team is responsible to provide game ball. All coaches must attend a coaches clinic if they have been coaching more than one (1) year. All coaches agree to leave fields immediately if Dynamos Staff or Board Member asks due to lightning. All coaches agree not to yell at players, refs, other coaches, or parents.

33. Coaches Guide If you have a concern, speak with the ref during half time. If questions or concerns not addressed, speak with referee coordinator after the game. Please remember, decision of the referee is final!

34. Coaches Guide Coaches shall agree not to run up the score on the other team. After 4 to 6 goals, coaches should suggest having all of the players touch the ball before shooting, two (2) passes per player before shooting, only using left foot, head, etc. to work on other aspects of their game.

35. Coaches Guide All players must play minimum of 50% of the game. TYSA restricts Div. 4 recreational players to three (3) contact hours per week. Dyess, Matzke, and Zube Parks are available to Cy-Fair Soccer members. ◦ Dyess Fields 6 and 8 are reserved for First Touch and Future Stars. ◦ E-mail fields@cyfairsoccer.org if planning to train at Matzke.fields@cyfairsoccer.org

36. Uniform Distribution Missing items – notify Lisa Griffin, Club Administrator Hand Out Uniforms ◦ Don’t let kids pick their numbers. ◦ Prioritize by size. ◦ Encourage inter-player swap. No customizations to uniforms without Board approval. Cy-Fair Soccer reserves the right to deny a sponsor name. In addition, anything other than a sponsor name needs to be approved by the Cy-Fair Soccer Board. No names or writing may be placed on the front of the jersey.

40. Game Organization Pregame: ◦ Confirm field number, player availability, arrival time for game, determine team warm up exercises, etc. Half-Time: ◦ Discuss strategy, promote water, assess injuries/fitness, determine substitutions, etc. Post-game: ◦ Regeneration, water, announcements, NO MATCH ANALYSIS!

41. U6 – U8 Coaching Module Different format than previous years ◦ Classroom session completed on-line prior to field session. Next Module TBD ◦ Must have classroom session prior to field session participate. Cost normally $30, reimbursed by CFSC. Must complete within 1 year.
