5. Late Assignments Translation: Being late at all causes a significant penalty and the penalties escalate as days go by, but late is somewhat better than never. Motivation: Mimic the type of late penalty one might find in the workplace. Assignments handed in past the due date and time will receive a 10% penalty, and an additional x% penalty for each day late (or fraction thereof), where x equals twice the number of days after the due date. If x > 50% then x = 50%.
