What was the renaissance The renaissance was a period in the 14 th century known as the rebirth and began in Italy around 1300ad and in other countries between 1300 and 1600. the 2 main countries left behind in the renaissance were England and France due to the 100 years of war which had no chance to catch up until after the war.

3. What did the renaissance bring The renaissance brought many advancements including art, technology, music, and learning. The places the renaissance advanced the most were cities because they were ideal for new intellectual ideas.

4. The bubonic plague The bubonic plague also played a huge part in the renaissance due to its 60% kill rate in cities. Because of the high death rates surviving merchants had the advantage on the streets and demanded higher prices for their goods.

New luxuries of the renaissance To obey religious laws middle age man lived a simple and plain life but as the renaissance began new luxuries were introduced such as fine music new foods and new clothes. New building developments were introduced for the rich called mansions with fancy architecture and possessions.

6. Renaissance art In the renaissance new forms of art were portrayed from sculptures to paintings. One of the most well known renaissance artists was Michelangelo who drew and sculpted the human body in most of his artwork.

7. New art techniques Donatello was one of the first to make sculptures with personality and posture and will go down in history for his statue David for making the first European free standing sculpture with personal features.

9. Leonardo da Vinci Leonardo da Vinci was a renaissance painter, sculptor, inventor, and scientist he observed how muscles veins and the heart worked. He is also extremely well known for his painting’s of the mona Lisa and the last supper.

10. Renaissance writing Writers in the renaissance produced new techniques of writing some that are even used today. Dante a famous writer of the time used a style called vernacular differing from the classic Latin of the time.
