2 Size and Weight A Galápagos Penguin measures 19 inches in length and 49cm in height. It weighs about 2.5kg for an average adult.

3 Diet, Habitat and location
The Galápagos Penguin has a diet of small fish including mullet and sardines. Galápagos Penguins are Mainly found on the Fernandina Island and on the west coast of Isabella Island, but small populations are also found scattered on the other islands in the Galápagos Islands. Their habitat is mostly rocky shores and ocean water.

4 Why they are endangered
Many Galápagos Penguins are dying because of being stuck in fishing nets, and they are being damaged by dirty water in the ocean. Oil spills are also very dangerous because they dirty the ocean quickly and then makes the Galápagos Penguin in danger.

5 More information Predators of Galápagos Penguin and their young include crabs, snakes, birds of prey, cats, dogs, rats, sharks, seals and sea lions. Their life expectancy is years. This is the only penguin species to live north of the equator in the Galápagos Islands. They have a population of about 2,000. Its scientific name is the Speniscus mendiculus coming from a Latin word.
