1. Welcome to “India Learns India” A Program to Make Our Heritage Immortal

2. The Concept “India Learns India” is an initiative launched by MGPL to increase the awareness and understanding among students in schools and colleges about our Heritage, Culture, Ancient sciences and the History of India. With this initiative, we are aiming at producing, well- researched, documentaries on DVD. These documentaries Will then be on offer to all the school and college libraries Free-of-Charge.

The Concept A look at the curriculum and subjects followed in most schools shows us that great emphasis has been, rightly, given to subjects like science, mathematics, botany, biology, physics, chemistry, etc. But the Indian school student learns very little about India’s Heritage, Culture, Arts, Ancient Sciences and History.

The Concept We at “India Learns India” are working on the premise that if every student is familiar with the above topics we will be creating a generation of young Indians who will become ambassadors of our heritage. They will travel and study all over the world and always stand tall with the knowledge that they belong to a country and civilisation that is ancient and rich. The strength of our civilisation is seen by the fact that only a few ancient civilisations have survived today.

5. Education and Technology Educational trends have changed. Today the use of Smart Boards, e-learning, web learning and well produced DVD programs have become established systems of study. “India Learns India” will seamlessly integrate itself into this teaching process.

Normal curriculum syllabus does not give the students a good understanding of our Heritage, History, Science and Culture. We hope to bring about a change in this and make our students proud of being an Indian.

We would like the students to devote more of their viewing time to non-fictional and fact-oriented television programming. 12. SPONSOR-A-SUBSCRIPTION What We Offer You… the Subscriber…….. A Yearly Subscription of ONE school will ensure that ONE DVD will be delivered to the school every two months. (SIX DVDs will be delivered over the course of ONE year). As on date over 6000 number of schools in 16 states have been selected to be a part of “India Learns India”.

The advantages of subscribing to India Learns India are By subscribing to a minimum of 5 schools for one year the documentaries will be viewed by Thirty Thousand students over the period of One year. We estimate that the school will use the DVD for at least three years. This will give approximately 90,000 students to views the documentary over this period

14. The advantages of subscribing to India Learns India are MGPL will also clearly print the name of the subscriber, who made it possible for the supply of the DVD, on the DVD labels supplied to the chosen institutions. The subscriber will be listed on our website.

15. Cost to Sponsor a Subscription A Yearly Subscription of Rs.10,000/= for ONE school will ensure that ONE DVD will be delivered to the school every two months. (SIX DVDs will be delivered over the course of ONE year.) We request a minimum subscription to 5 schools, to make the program effective.

17. The Process Is Transparent MGPL understands the importance of keeping the Subscription process totally transparent. On receiving your Subscription, the selected DVDs will be dispatched to the institution. We will intimate you as to the dispatch of the DVD along with the name and full contact details of the institution for your records. The institution will also be informed of the name of the sponsor who made it possible for them to receive the DVD Documentaries.

18. In Conclusion Presentation of our heritage information can only be possible by the support of organizations and individuals. MGPL would like to be involved as a facilitator in fulfilling this concept by producing and distributing these programs to every educational institution in India.
