1 ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS Reserving Books

2 Initial Notes for reserving books instructions - click here for checking status of reserve - click here NOTE 1: Only users entitled to borrow books may place an item on reserve NOTE 3: You can not reserve books from departmental libraries or with any other status than that mentioned above NOTE 2: You can reserve books with records on-line, location BUW..., which are currently checked out (status Due [date]) NOTE 5: Reservation means that your name will be added to the waiting list. Your book will be available to the first person from the list for 7 days from its return NOTE 4: You can make keyboard request for items with location BUW Magazyn and status Available or Non-Circ. (see keyboard request instructions) NOTE 6: You can reserve any copy of desired title, so simply start from Catalog Card screen

3 1) Using any search method go to the Menu of Copies and Volumes screen. If the status is Due [date], click Card Scrn. button here

4 2) Click Holds button here

5 3) Click Holds button again NOTE: If you are not the first person reserving this book, the screen will show you information about the waiting list

6 4) In the Command Line, type ID number of your Library Card and hit Enter here

7 5) In the Command Line, type: b - if you want to reserve any copy of this title i - if you want to reserve a specific copy Hit Enter

8 6) Hit Enter or enter the cancellation date NOTE: You can enter cancellation date if you know how long you will need a book. That is, if you have 2 weeks to finish your work, you won’t need the book after 2 months

9 Reservation is completed NOTE: The book can be returned before due date. You should check your reservation every few days for checking status of reserve click here ESC Return to index By: M. Kaczarowska A. Delfausse

10 Checking status of reserve 1) Go to the Menu of Copies and Volumes screen. Status On Hold means that the book is waiting for the first person from the reserve list. Click Card Scrn. button here

11 2) Click Holds button here

12 ESC Return to index By: M. Kaczarowska A. Delfausse 3) Information about reservation and your Library Card number will be shown on screen. If the book is being held for you, H* will appear in the TYPE column
