2 IEEE Central Texas Section Chapter Leadership Team Over the past year we have had between 25-30 members participating in events. 4 IEEE Central Texas Section 2014-2015 Chapter Funding Proposal Requesting $1000 for Phase I to cover projects and events at the same level as last year. Proposed Expenditures R5 Conference $600.00 Best Robotics $100.00 Social Events $200.00 Marketing Materials $100.00

5 IEEE Central Texas Section R5 Conference l Texas State University IEEE student chapter competed in the robotics, circuit design and ethics competitions this past April in Corpus Christi, Texas. l The competition has spurred the interest of future participants and returning long standing members from the work that went into last year’s competition as well as from the learning experiences gained. l Expenditures from the Phase I funding will mostly be used on ordering parts for the Robotics team. Requesting: $600

6 IEEE Central Texas Section Best Robotics l Students from the IEEE student branch are volunteering their time to go to various local schools and mentor the students, and offer their assistance in preparation for the event. l The IEEE would like to pay for food and reimbursement for mileage in order to encourage participation and offer some support for our volunteers. l Our hope is to expand First Robotics as well as continue to support the BEST Robotics organization. Requesting: $100

7 IEEE Central Texas Section Social Events l By utilizing social events, the number of members interested in participating in volunteer opportunities has increased. l Such events have brought about a sense of pride and camaraderie within the organization to not only inspire participation in the IEEE but has allowed the organization to grow as well. l Events that were created or participated in last year by the Texas State IEEE Student Branch were: l Bobcat Build l Dodge ball intramural l Movie night l BBQ’s Requesting: $200

8 IEEE Central Texas Section Marketing Materials As Texas State’s IEEE chapter grows we want to continue growing and reach out to those that may have an interest in the organization. This may be accomplished in multiple ways such as fliers, advertisements, and operating a booth in the quad to recruit and open the opportunity to students who would otherwise not know of IEEE. Requesting: $100
