Welcome Fuel Solutions for Today’s Modern Fuels NEW FUELS NEW RULES

 We offer: Innovative products Training material Proven testing tools Continued research on current and new products

Bio-Fuel History 1979- 2005 1980 Oxygenated Fuel MTBE (methyl tertiary-butyl ether) 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments Energy Policy Act of 2005 4 billion gallons by 2006 6.1 billion gallons by 2009 7.5 billion gallons by 2012

EPA Approves E-15  Energy Independence & Security Act of 2007 bio-fuel requirement  12.95 Billion gallon 2010  36 Billion gallon 2022  2010 E-15 gasoline approved for 2001 and newer cars and light trucks  70 to 80% of all vehicles on the road  E-20 a possibility???  B-20 a possibility??? EPA E-15 Mock-up Warning Label

 The cleaner diesel fuel program  reduces sulfur content,  Provides immediate health benefits  allows engine manufacturers to begin using advanced emissions control systems that further reduce harmful emissions.  The diesel program regulations are located in 40 CFR Part 80 subpart I.  Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) is 15 parts per million (ppm) sulfur specification  Phased in for highway diesel fuel from 2006-2010.  Emissions will be reduced by more than 90%.  Diesel engines equipped with advanced emission control devices (generally, 2007 and later model years) must use highway ULSD fuel.  Low sulfur (500 ppm) and Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel will be phased in for non-road, locomotive, and marine (NRLM) engines from 2007-2014. These fuel requirements, coupled with advanced emission control technologies, will decrease EPA Diesel Fuel Legislation

Brand Comparison

 Gasoline Fuel Additive  Fuel stabilization  Anti-oxidants  Ethanol stabilization and protection  Combustion Cool Technology  2-stroke engine oil bonding  Upper end lubrication  Cleaner burn  No alcohol  No petroleum products Offers an all in one line-up

Competition  The competition:  Uses alcohol to fight alcohol  Uses petroleum in their products  Takes more than one product to do the same job  Uses enzymes  Is not backed by 3 rd party testing  Has not changed their recipe to match the new fuels  Only works for a short amount of time  Will not restore old gas

Ethanol Issues

Why Is Ethanol So Bad?  Deteriorates rubber, plastic& fiberglass  Attracts Water  Causes gasoline to prematurely decompose

Ethanol Damage  Damaged plastic and rubber fuel system components, particularly in older power equipment not designed to tolerate ethanol.  The primer line & return lines are brittle causing fuel to leak and the fuel lines to disintegrate form ethanol

Ethanol Phase Separation  Severe phase separation creating the severe corrosion  This carburetor must be replaced

Engine Failure from Varnished / Stale Fuel  Engine ran on marginal fuel  Hard to start  Low power.  Gummed all of the internal components  Sticking the rings

Phase Separation Damage Bottom clear layer is mostly ethanol Piston seized running on the phase separated fuel to the left Phase Separated gasoline

Diesel Issues

Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel 97% less sulfur  Reduced lubrication  Higher amounts of water  Cold weather freezing Problems With Modern Diesel Fuels Clogged fuel injectors Damaged injector pumps

If you have experienced the following issues, chances are they are caused by contaminated fuel.  Frequent diesel particulate filter (DPF) burns  Clogged and slimy filters  Dark, hazy fuel  Sludge build up in tanks  Loss of power and rpm  Excess smoke  Corroded, pitted injectors  Turbo trouble  Injector pump failure Symptoms of Contaminated Fuel

Poor Fuel Efficiency Water Creates Microbe Growth

Diesel Contamination Types  Diesel bug  Bacteria  Mold  Yeast

Diesel Contamination Types  Biofilms  Asphaltines  Gums and other organic contaminants  Wax  Sludge  Other particles

USLD = Year Round Maintenance Fuel Filter on the left clogged in only 10,000 miles NEW Clogged

Clogged Diesel Particulate Filter Clogged Clean If not attended to the DPF will need to be removed and cleaned EXPENSIVE PROCESS !

Exhaust Gas Recirculation  (EGR) valves are part of the emissions system  The purpose of the EGR is to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.  “Dirty” exhaust will prevent the EGR from operating properly  The EGR can be stuck in any position which will affect how efficiently the fuel will burn By using Diesel Mechanic in a Bottle, the fuel will burn cleaner thus keeping the EGR valve working properly for a longer period of time.

Bio-Diesel Blend Facts  5-7% Less BTU  Biodegradable  Prone to fuel fouling  Absorbs 10 X more water  Corrodes fuel system components  Harmful to rubber and plastic  Acts as a solvent  Gelling in cold weather

Our Solution “ TEST – FIX – PREVENT “

Turn Guessing into KNOWING!

How good is your gas? Do they remember when they bought it? Do you do the sniff test? Has the proper amount of 2 Cycle oil been added? Is it phase separated? Is this a possible warranty issue? !!! PREVENT REPAIRS !!! Why Test Your Gas?

Failures Due to Marginal Fuel = =

 Develops as it dries 1-2 minutes  2 cycle fuel takes 2-3 Minutes Test Swabs Dip In Gas for 5-10 Seconds

PREVENT

Multi Purpose Ethanol Fuel Stabilizer Remove water to prevent Phase Separation Protect the rubber & plastic components from ethanol Stabilize the gasoline to ensure quick starting and prevent stale fuel

Burn Test X Y Z After burning, a synthetic lubricant is left to lubricate the combustion chamber components Most competitor’s products burn incompletely and erratically Ethanol Shield burns clean and vaporizes the termolecular hydrogen bonded water molecu le

Rubber Conditioners PIC Not Protected “ Extreme Testing E-85” Protected!

Extreme Protection! ½ E-85 ½ Water Not Protected Protected! Over 1 Year in solution

Testing Non Ethanol Shield has carbon build up at 38 hours, theoretically 50 hours should have more carbon build up Ethanol Shield unit kept the exhaust port clear at 50 hours

Fix the fuel system & deep clean the carburetor without removal, even on non-running engines Revitalize old fuel and delicate fuel system components safely Cleanse power robbing carbon deposits from the engine’s internal components Fuel System Fix All

Before After

1983 Chipper Gasket Revitalization Bowl Drain Gasket Bowl Gasket “O” Ring These original rubber components were rejuvenated by the MIB! Before the test they were hard and dried out.

Fix the fuel system by cleaning it thoroughly and rejuvenating the delicate components Protect & Prevent the fuel system from algae growth & remove water to prevent damage Stabilize the fuel from decaying in storage & prevent gelling in cold weather Diesel Fuel Additive

 Increases Cetane by 2-3 points  Reducing emissions  High Temperature Detergent  Upper cylinder lubricity  Replaces lost lubrication from ULSD  Water encapsulation  Fuel Stabilization  Corrosion protection  Does NOT Contain Petroleum Distillates

Tar Like Deposits AB Synthetic Lubricant! Diesel Burn Test

FUEL HYGIENE  Where does fuel hygiene start? It starts by knowing….  Use fresh fuel  Purchase from a reputable source  Use a fuel additive to protect your fuel system & extend the life of the fuel  Test your fuel  Water / fuel clarity  Bio-Diesel  Acid
