The first two years will provide basic background in chemistry, physics, and biology and will require mathematical and computational skills. 10 Athletics Program UNC produces some of the top athletes and teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and the NCAA. Varsity teams compete in 13 men’s and 15 women’s sports. Basketball is the universities most known sport. They’ve been ranked in the top 25 for over the past few years.
