11 My Context St Mary’s College 11-18 Catholic Voluntary Aided School 1250+ in Years 7-11 and 350 in Sixth Form Hull and East Riding catchment area- 13 school buses 44 different languages spoken in the school. Major school demographic change in the last five years BSF School- Sport has a strategic role as part of a “World Class” approach One hour lunchtime Headteacher brief of the development of Inter -House sports competitions with a competitive edge Background of significant changes to funding in physical education and school sport

29 St Mary’s College School Sport Workforce - Areas for Development Student Workforce Leadership, Coaching and Volunteering Partner School - Strategic role in school- need to educate the students about the opportunities and roles in coaching, officiating and team managing before expectation that they will run inter-house competitions -Mapping out of what we want students to be able to do in Years 7, 8 and 9 -delivery of Coach, Official and Team Manager Training to -Year 9 students prior to range of opportunities in Years 10 and 11 -Students rewarded via school reward system for voluntary hours dedicated
