4 Yahoo Messenger  Online instant messaging  You can add friends by their e-mail address  With options to do video and audio chats as well  By using your login name you can access multiple chat rooms

5 LogMeIn  Users worldwide rely on LogMeIn for: Remote Control File Sharing Systems Management Data backup Business collaboration On-demand customer support of PC’s, servers, Macintosh computers, smartphones and other connected devices  Access and back up your home or work computer from anywhere with an Internet connection  Even access your desktop from your iPhone or the dash of your Ford truck  Fast, easy and secure

Chat contains more features such as IMViroments and chatting backgrounds “Audibles,” animated emoticons that talk are fun to experiment with While chatting you can play games with your friend and share photos Yahoo messenger does not support group chat  Skype Simplistic chat engine is easy to navigate and is lighting fast Allows you to chat with more than one person in a chat window Allows you to participate in a live video chat between two or more people Skype can even take over your home telephone service and give your computer its own telephone number

8 Windows Remote Desktop vs. LogMe In  Windows Remote Desktop is already a part of your computer  Must configure Windows firewall to enable connectivity  Must enter in username & password for logon permissin  LogMe In has to be accessed through the internet, requiring a username and password  LogMe In requires no firewall, but users must install a small application  If using a device new to LogMe In, not only is a username & password required, but a LogMe In application must be downloaded & installed
