2. Objectives: Students will:
Identify declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences.
Use correct punctuation.

3. Declarative Sentences
It tells something.
It ends with a period.
Examples:
Deserts are dry.
You are now in 4th grade.

4. Interrogative Sentences
It asks something.
It ends with a question mark (?).
Examples:
Are deserts always hot?
How old are you?

5. Imperative Sentences It gives an order. It ends with a period.
Examples:
Always complete your homework.
Sit down.

6. Exclamatory Sentences
It expresses a strong feeling.
It ends with a punctuation mark.
Examples:
How hot it was!
How exciting that was!
