21 Where is the Authority for Amendments and/or a New Constitution found? The Declaration of Independence states: " That whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people [sovereign authority of the people] to alter [Article V] or to abolish it, and to institute new government [Constitutional Convention], laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”

22 Limitations of an Amendment Article V sets NO LIMIT on the scope of an amendment, so… An amendment can be the change of one comma, or the change of everything but one comma. Constitutional Convention and Article V Convention ARE A DISTINCTION WITHOUT A DIFFERENCE. (Diversionary tactic)

23 What is the real issue? Do we fear a change in the language of the Constitution? No! We should fear a change in our form of government and our sovereign status! Five words can change everything…

24 What Five Words Could Do. "The states' sovereignty is abolished." This kills federalism. States would have no authority or duty to: keep the central government in check to keep the central government from infringing on your un-alienable God given rights
