16 Advanced Search The benefit of using the advanced search mode is to make your search results specific to your topic. (Remember, it is better to have 10 good web sites to look at, than 10,000 web sites that you have to wade through.) To use advanced search, locate and select the Advanced Search link on the Search Engine’s home page. Type in your keywords, then follow the directions from there and try narrowing your search.

17 Conclusion The World Wide Web is becoming more commonplace in educational institutions across the nation. Yet, it is still unregulated, similar to the days of the Wild, Wild, West when just about “anything” went. It is time to teach our children to be effective consumers of the Internet. Information literacy is their future.
