3. Session recap (cond) Audit of legislative compliance by SAI India in respect of commitment corresponding to International Environmental Accords – Agenda 21. Audit of areas where accords are implemented – Legislations for Water issues, Air issues and Environmental Protection – Overview of SAI India’s experience on EA – Audit of Ganga Action Plan.

4. Session overview Today in the first two sessions we shall discuss: SAI India’s audit of Legislative compliance – Norms / standards / criteria. Creation of Central/State Pollution Control Boards as Regulatory Body – their audits. Performance audit, Compliance audit, Financial audit.

5. Session overview (cond) In the last two sessions we shall discuss: Audit of Environmental issues - INTOSAI guidelines and experience on Audit of water issues – Salient features. SAI India’s experience on Audit of Water. Case studies and important observations of CAG.

6. RTI MUMBAI/DAY 2/Session 1/ 2.1.0 Learning Objective In the first two sessions participants will be exposed to Regulatory Framework for monitoring and Implementation of Environmental Policy and SAI India’s experience on audit of Regulatory Body. (State/Regional level Review)

7. Learning Objective In the last two sessions participants will be exposed to INTOSAI guidelines and experience and SAI India’s experience on audit of Water Issues at Project/Programme - Implementation level at Urban Local Bodies (Micro level analysis)
