4 2009 Portal Project Timeline: Upgrade to New Vignette Components – Summer ‘09  Vignette Content Management v7.6 Able to apply the same set of extensible attributes to static files Allow AIS to host static files with better search and maintenance capabilities  Vignette Portal v7.4+ Enables administrators to configure portlets to be rendered in parallel on the browser Pages will be rendered faster  Vignette HPD (High Performance Delivery) Allows for Web Tier Caching Caching done dynamically of both static and content files Will now be able to serve cached pages w/o interruption during a planned or non-planned application server downtime

5 2009 Portal Project Timeline: Phase 2 Audit of Articles  Develop a new audit guideline and checklist Are articles being read? Are article titles most effective? Is the article’s gist clearly stated at the beginning? Are related links in the proper order? Are short URLs being take advantage of? Do external links open in new windows? Are related information article titles too long? Are out-of-date articles being updated or deleted?  Distribute responsibility to areas for over 3,000 articles  Use Omniture to help identify content not being accessed
