3 Appreciative Inquiry  The process becomes the method.  Focus on human values.  Focus on construction.  Capture and retell positive stories, anecdotes, and acts of heroism.  Build a community.

4 Interviews  Create an environment that encourages sharing, and co-creating.  The interview is about the person you are interviewing! You will get your turn.  Respect  Interest  Listening skills

5 Listening Skills  Attending (I am listening to you) –Physical orientation –Openness –Posture –Eye Contact

6 Listening Skills  Reflection (I hear and understand you) –Paraphrasing –Summarizing –Avoid simply parroting

7 Listening Skills  Empathy (I know how you feel) –Reaching for feelings –Checking for accuracy
