4 4 Training Objectives Objective: By the end of this lesson, the PA should know what CAR Customized Reporting is, how to verify access, and what training is available. Why Is This Important: Companies can utilize CAR Customized Reporting to manage cards, monitor compliance, identify savings opportunities, and analyze spend trends.

5 5 What is Customized Reporting? Customized Reporting Makes Business Intelligence Easy An online tool that allows you to monitor company spend A set of reports that give you visibility into how Cardmembers are spending corporate funds Customized report templates or execute them as built Run reports in between cycles end of cycle Run reports on demand when you want them and/or configure reports to run on a schedule

6 6 What is Customized Reporting? Report Schedules Report Viewer Report ListReport Builder Simple and easy to use – Four main sections within the tool make it easy to find, build, and view the reports you need.

7 7 Access to CAR Customized Reporting Verify that you have access to Customized Reporting, and that you have the additional access needed to view the CAR specific reports: 1.Log onto American Express @ Work 2.“Create Customized Card Reports” box displays when you have access to Customized Reporting. Continue to step 3.  If the box does not display, proceed to step 7. 3.Click GO.

8 8 Access to CAR Customized Reporting 4. 4.Click the Build a New Report tab 5. 5.Select Market CAR from the “Category: Select the reporting product” dropdown and click Search 6. 6.Search results list available reports when you have access to CAR reports.   If no results are returned, proceed to step 7.

The session will go through the most commonly used reports and will be hosted by the Technical Optimization Team. 12 12 Appendix: Report Menu – CAR Corporate Account Reconciliation (CAR) Reports If you utilize the Corporate Account Reconciliation tool, you can request access to a special set of report templates. These templates provide access to details on reallocation changes made by your CAR users. With these reports you can: View the accounting code details that reflect reallocation adjustments that have been made View the current reallocation exceptions View the details from any of the special User Defined Fields that may have been setup for your CAR site View details broken out by your CAR sites (if you have multiple sites) View if transactions have been Approved/Reviewed Review Reallocation Changes and Details Accounting DetailAccounting Detail - View the accounting code detail for each transaction Cost Center SummaryCost Center Summary - View spend summarized by cost center derived from linked codes Project SummaryProject Summary - View spend month over month summarized by project code Reallocation ExceptionsReallocation Exceptions - View exception flags on transactions that were not automatically reallocated Manage Approval/Review Status Approval StatusApproval Status - View if a transaction has been flagged as Approved/Reviewed by a designated review level Important Note: Some CAR data is only available after a monthly cycle has been locked and posted by the CAR Administrator These reports can be created using the @ Work Customized Reporting tool Help Resources
