15. د/ مصري وخاصةً أنّ / ولاسيما أنّ: غضبتُ كثيراً من تصرفه وخاصة أنّها لم تكن المرة الأولى التي يعاملني فيها بهذا الشكل. Especially since: I was really angry from his behavior especially since it wasn’t the first time he treated me in this manner.

16. د/ مصري في بادئ الأمر: في بادئ الأمر ظننتُ أنّه إنسان متواضع ولكن ظهر لي فيما بعد أنّه غير ذلك. At first: At first, I thought he was a humble person but it appeared to me later on that he was the opposite.

17. د/ مصري إلى أنْ: سنواصل المطالبة بحقوقنا إلى أنْ نحصل عليها بالكامل. Until: We will continue demanding our rights until we attain them completely.

18. د/ مصري على هذه الحال: و جهة نظرها هي أنَّ نظام التعليم الحالي في لبنان سيبقى على هذه الحال طويلاً. In this manner, way; in this state: Her opinion is that the current educational system in Lebanon will remain in this state for a long time.

19. د/ مصري (على) قَدْرٍ كبيرٍ من: دُهشتُ كثيراً عندما سمعتُ من البعض أنّ المحاضرة كانت مُملّة لأني وجدتها على قدر كبير من التنظيم و الوضوح. (Having) quite a lot of….. (literally, a large amount of): I was really astonished when I heard from others that the lecture was boring, because I found in it a lot of clarity and organization.

20. د/ مصري واسع النطاق: قامت الحكومة بإدخال تعديلات واسعة النطاق على نظام الضمان الاجتماعي. Wide-ranging: The government inserted a wide-range of amendments on the social security system.

21. د/ مصري يَجْدُرُ بنا أنْ: يجدر بنا أنْ نسعى إلى التواصل و التفاهم على كل المستويات. We should, ought to: We should strive for continuity and mutual understanding on all levels.

22. د/ مصري على قَدْرِ الإمكان \ بقدر الإمكان: حاولتُ أنْ أختصر بحثي بقدر الإمكان, و لكنه لا يزال أطول مما هو مطلوب. As much as possible: I tried to shorten my research as much as possible, but it is still longer than what is required.

23. د/ مصري وَلَو: أتمنى أنْ يكتب لي أهلي رسالة ولو كلمات بسيطة. If only, even if only: I wish my family would write me if only a few words.

24. د/ مصري خَطَرَ على بال.... ( أنّ \ أنْ): لم يخطر على بالي أنّكم ستكملون المشروع بهذه السرعة. It occurred to (someone) to do/that: It didn’t occur to me that you (all) will complete the project this fast. هل خطر على بالكَ أنْ تُدون وجهة نظرك في التجارب التي عشتها في كتاب؟ Did it occur to you to record your point of view of the experiences that you lived in a book?

25. د/ مصري لا حاجةَ للبيان أنّ: لا حاجة للبيان أنّ العولمة ظاهرة ذات تأثير واسع في وقتنا الحاضر و هي تدل على الدور الكبير الذي تلعبه الولايات المتحدة اقتصادياً و سياسياً في كل أنحاء العالم. There is no need to explain that: There is no need to explain that globalization is a widely influential phenomenon in our current time, for it indicates the big role the US plays economically and politically around the world.

26. د/ مصري في يومٍ من الأيام: في يومٍ من الأيام ستفهم موقفي و تُقدّر ما عملته من أجلك. One day, some day: One day you will understand my situation/position, and appreciate what I did for your sake.
