14 Summary of Recommendations That in general the issue of parking permits for sale to staff and students should be on the basis of a 75% over-subscription; That students resident in University, Bradford and Kirkstone Halls should be eligible to apply for a permit to park in the retained Laisteridge Lane car park during working hours and that the number of permits issued against the spaces there would be restricted to a 25% over-subscription; That permits should be issued on the basis of an average of the spaces available over Semester 1 and 2 in the 2007-08 academic session; That the percentage of permits available to each group and within each parking category should be based on previous years’ issue; That the car parking charges for 2007-08 should be as follows with effect from September for students and October for staff.
