3 Energy Conservation It All Adds Up ($$$) Shut down equipment when not in use (computers, lights, heaters, shakers etc.) Lab ventilation also potential target:  Reduced air changes late nights, weekends?  Potential occupancy restrictions?  Slower evacuation / build-up of off-gassing vapors?

4 Self-reporting training Go to Human Resources, Employee Self Service (http://hrss.umn.edu/)http://hrss.umn.edu/ under Self Service Actions, click on 'Training Registration/History' in the new window, click on 'Personal Training/History’ Log in with X500 and password Click on ‘personal training record’ Scroll down to bottom, click on ‘Report completed training’

5 Check on others’ training status Go to ‘OneStop’, click on ‘Staff’ Under ‘quicklinks’ click on ‘UMReports’ Login with X500 and password Click on ‘HR Reports’ then ‘Training History’ (or search for ‘training’) Either enter a particular employee ID# or Enter a college/admin unit, then follow directions Results tabulated, can be saved in Excel
