2 What is weather? Set of all phenomena occurring at a given time in the atmosphere. example: wind, atmospheric pressure, humidity

3 Climate Sum of weather conditions for a region over a long period of time.

5 Front a boundary between two air masses of different density, moisture content, or temperature.

6 Stationary front Front does not move or barely moves. Has similar characteristics to warm fronts.

7 Cold Front Replace warm air with cold air. Associated with severe weather

8 Warm Front Warm air replaces cold air. Long light showers typically, some severe weather.

9 Occluded front Mixing of air. Cold fronts move faster than warm fronts. Can have characteristics of either cold or warm fronts
