5 4 Wells Fargo Wealth Management Private Banker – Houston Job Description Manages the most complex and sophisticated banking relationships with Ultra High Net Worth and/or Family Wealth clients. Utilizes strong credit expertise to advise clients on appropriate credit and deposit solutions and manage the largest and most complex customized credit portfolios. Consults with team and clients to develop risk management and full balance sheet solutions using an integrated approach to meet clients global financial objectives. Develops new and expands current relationships individually and by partnering with professionals across the Wells Fargo enterprise. Markets capabilities, objectives and client segmentation strategy throughout Wells Fargo. Analyzes financial, tax and credit needs of clients, monitors clients' risk profile and changing needs. Prepares loan packages for credit review and underwriting. Ensures records/files are maintained within policy/guidelines. Recommends strategies that utilize Wells Fargo's individual and institutional capabilities to create and enhance client wealth. Provides training and guidance to less experienced Private Bankers. This is the most senior level Private Banking individual contributor job. Incumbents have excellent sales/relationship management and teaming skills; an established external presence; exceptionally strong credit skills and deposit understanding (particularly cash management); and the ability to deliver highly complex credit and deposit solutions to clients. Incumbents have a strong knowledge of not only traditional bank product and services, but also the most sophisticated services and products to meet unique client needs. Use of this job requires regional recommendation with WMG Senior Credit Officer concurrence. Basic Qualifications 10+ years corporate consumer, mortgage or private banking experience, Series 7 and 66 licenses required to participate in securities brokerage activities. Minimum Qualifications Must have a minimum of 10+ years Private Banking and commercial lending experience within the Houston, TX market. Experience in Wealth/Private Banking selling to High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients. An Insurance License and Series 7 & 66 licenses are required in order to market Securities Brokerage and Insurance solutions. Private Bankers are expected to assist customers with a broad range of deposit, credit, and investment products; therefore, this role is considered to be a fully licensed position at Wells Fargo. As a Licensed Private Banker, you are expected to obtain and/or maintain various securities and insurance license(s) (within 12 months of employment or within 12 months of transferring into the position if an internal Wells Fargo employee) depending on the State in which you work and/or the licenses that you currently hold: · All new hires are required to obtain / transfer the FINRA series 7, 66* licenses · All new hires are required to obtain (in the event they do not currently carry) their State _Life and Health_ insurance license (specific requirements vary by State) *Since the series 66 combines the series 63 and 65 licenses, all new hires with an active 63 and 65 combination will meet the 66 requirement. Must have a proven track record/experience in sales and customer service. Credit training and lending experience required. Working knowledge and understanding of tax implications required or must be willing to obtain. Must have active centers of influence and a pipeline of HNW clients that can provide continuous revenue growth within the affluent community. Ability to build a revenue producing book of business utilizing internal and external sources of customers in the affluent segment. Expert communication and presentation skills to target market required. Proven problem solving, conflict resolution, time management, follow-up and decision making skills required. Willing to contribute to team efforts as it relates to Private Banking. Ability to execute performance through self motivation and with minimum supervision.
