2  How you feel about yourself is similar to a Personal Bank Account - can make deposits into and take withdrawals out of this account  You don’t stand up for yourself when you know you are right  You make degrading comments about yourself  You use drugs and alcohol  Break personal promises  Keep to yourself  Beat yourself up  Be dishonest  Be mean or cruel to others  Neglect your talents  You live by principles  You work to build your skills and talents  You have the self confidence to let others know your opinions and good ideas  Do small acts of kindness  Be honest  Renew yourself

3 HEALTHY PBAPOOR PBA  You stand up for yourself and resist peer pressure.  You’re not overly concerned about being popular  You see life as a generally positive experience  You trust yourself  You are goal driven  You are happy for the successes of others  You cave into peer pressure easily  You wrestle with feelings of depression and inferiority  You’re overly concerned about what others think of you  You act arrogant to help hide insecurities  You self-destruct by getting heavily into drugs and alcohol.  You get jealous easily

4  For this unit, we’re going to track our PBA...  Each day during this unit, if you walk into the class feeling “rich” then put a marble in the bowl. If you’re feeling low that day, take a marble out and put it back in the box.
