The Great Tomato Race Starter: 9.11.07 Pg. 4
What do we already know about ketchup? What are we trying to find out? What are we going to do to find our answer? What variable are we going to change on purpose? How will we know if our experiment is working? What do you think is going to happen?

Experimental Design Objectives 8.22.07
Students will be able to conduct a simple scientific investigation. Students will be able to communicate designs, procedures, observations, and results of scientific investigations. Students will be able to identify the independent variable, dependent variable, and the constants in an experiments. Students will be able to develop a hypothesis related to the topic or information provided.

Roles and Responsibility
Recorder Records the data Makes sure that everyone in the group is recording the same information. Time Keeper Keeps up with the time 5 min. (Organization) 25 min. (Complete Lab and Record Data) 5 minutes (Clean Up Areas) Stage Makes sure the group has the correct materials Makes sure that all of the materials are in the correct tray when finished Makes sure that the plates are clean
