3 Graduation Requirements – Class of 2015 26 Total Credits 4 credits in English (English I, II, III and a credit in the senior year) 4 credits in Social Studies (World Cultures, U.S. History I, U.S. History II, and senior Economics unless a senior AP class is selected)

4 Graduation Requirements- Class of 2015 3 credits in Science (General Science and Biology required) 3 High School credits in Mathematics (including Algebra I and Geometry; Algebra A and B will satisfy the Alg. I graduation requirement and 2 of 3 required credits) 2 credits in Humanities/Applied Arts (World Lang., Music, Art, Tech Ed, FACS, Philosophy, or an additional English and/or Social Studies credit)

5 Graduation Requirements – Class of 2015 1.6 credit in Physical Education (one PE course each year).6 credit in Health 6.8 credits in non-required majors/elect. 1 credit for the Culminating Portfolio 3 KEYSTONE exams- Algebra I, Biology, and English Composition

6 Requirements for Promotion At least 6.5 Cr. must be earned to promote to Grade 10. (13 cr. to Gr.11 19.5 cr. to Gr. 12) Freshmen will usually carry 7.4 – 7.6 cr. *FIVE MAJORS = 5.0 - 5.6 credits *Phys. Ed. =.4 credits *Electives = 1.4 – 2.2 credits (approx.) *2-3 Study Halls/Week for preparation

7 High school course work in major subjects must be taken at a level 2 or higher to meet core academic requirements to compete in Division I and II athletics at the college level. 8 Each student must schedule at least 5 major subjects and a minimum of 34 total periods each year. A minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 periods should be allowed for study halls. Scheduling Requirements

16 Course Selection Waiver A WAIVER is required when a student is not recommended by a teacher for a course for which he/she would like to schedule. Must be signed by both parent and student. Cannot override a prerequisite or a required sequence of courses. A student may NOT withdraw from the course. It is recommended that a student give careful consideration to a teacher’s recommendation prior to submitting a WAIVER.
