But mostly there are some typical symptoms. Fever Chills Cough Unusually rapid breathing Chest pain In some extreme cases, the skin and the lips may turn black or purple in colour because of the low oxygen quantity inside the blood. On 29/3, class suspension in schools and childcare centres commenced.  Government communicated with World Health Organization.  Prince of Wales Hospital set up Disease Control Centre to manage the outbreak and stopped all clinical admissions to the medical department during the outbreak.  At first, parents were required to take the temperature of their children daily before letting them go to school. Maintain a good personal hygiene for example to wash hand frequently and don’t spit on public area. Keep the society,school and home clean by using 1:99 bleach. People should not go to busy public areas when they are sick. Besides, they ought to wear facemasks and see the doctor at once. Add water to the U-shaped container frequently. 13 The spread and control of pneumonia in Hong Kong in the 21st century Conclusion We have learnt a lot of things in this project :  What pneumonias and SARS are.  The outbreak of SARS shows us that precaution is more important than treatment.  HK government paid a great effort in solving the problems brought by SARS.  Everyone in HK should pay attention to diseases and create a clean environment together.
