2 MONDAY, AUGUST 26 Objective: I will write an introduction for my personal narrative essay by learning how to write sensory sentences. Standards: Reading 1.1, Writing 1.2 Journal Question: How are you feeling about the topic you chose so far? Any regrets or are you in love with it? Explain.

4 TRANSFORMING SENTENCES Let’s try changing this vague sentence into one that has more specific details: The student was running late to school and started to panic. Work with your partner to create a sentence(s) that are much more exciting and detailed.

5 SHOW ME SENTENCES Rewrite each sentence into one that is more descriptive and recreates each scene more vividly.

8 TIME TO WRITE (30 MIN) Use your handouts to help you begin your introduction. Use all your senses (sight, sound, taste, etc.) Use this time wisely! Your introduction is due next time we meet! Wednesday, Aug 28 (Block 5) Thursday, Aug 29 (Block, 2, 4, 8)  back to school night AND Ms. U’s birthday If it ISN’T turned in on this day, you will be assigned encore and/or tutoring!!
