1 Pink Dolphins By Natalie Ng 8M

2 Dolphin’s Diet Dolphins like to eat a lot of things for example…
Fishes, these include croakers, lion-head fish, mullets and anchovies

3 History of Dolphins We do not know the of a dolphin when we see one, but we can tell by the teeth layers of dead dolphins The oldest dolphin so far is thirty-three years old We believe that dolphins can live up to forty years old in the counterparts like South Africa

4 Young Dolphins Newborn dolphins are dark grey colour
As they reach to juvenile stage they body change from light gray to grayish pink with spotting all over their body As they get older they will change into pinkish white colour with little or no spots at all

5 Why are pink dolphins pink?
Colour pigment under the skin is what caused pink dolphins to be pink However a more plausible answer is that as they swim blood vessels expand on the skin surface to release the body heat This is similar to the blushing effect we humans have

6 Threat 1 Fishery By catch ~ pink dolphins sometimes eat what is in the trawl nets. The concentrated food is in the trawl nets is easy food for them but it is very dangerous for them too. By doing they can easily get trapped in the net, and because dolphins breath air in the surface they easily can drown.

7 Threat 2 Vessel collision ~ Even though dolphins have the power to detect their surrounding, dolphins still get hit by boats and high speed ferries that travels in the waters. When boats strike dolphins, they can easily be seriously injured or even die

8 Population There is approximately 120 dolphins only!

9 Save our Dolphins Don’t throw litter in the sea and protect their environment!

10 Thank you for watching my show!
