2 Introduction of the Book
April, an eleven year old that is forced to lived with her grandmother because her mother is to busy being an actress, invents a game called the Egypt Game in Casa Rosada, California with Melanie and Marshal Ross, Elizabeth, Toby, and Ken. They recreate Egypt in their interpretation at the yard of an antique store and reinacted Egyptian Ceremonies.

3 Protagonists April is an actresses daughter that
has a curiosity for learning. Melanie is April’s best friend that kindles April’s fire to learn. Marshal is Melanie’s four-year-old brother that tags along with them and gets help when April is being attacked.

4 Antagonists April’s attacker who will not be named is an antagonist.
Toby and Ken try to stop the main characters for the first half of the book from playing the Egypt Game.

5 Central Conflict A murderer appears on April’s street and claims a child’s life. The cops can not find him on his hunt for victims and April might just be next!

6 Minor Characters Caroline Hall was the guardian and grandmother of April Hall. The Professor was the shop keeper of the place that April and Melanie played the Egyptian Game at. Elizabeth Chung is a minor participator in the Egypt Game.

7 Critic’s Opinions Kirkus Reviews believes that it is a daring story with a risky climax. Thebookreviews.com recommends it for students who love Ancient Egyptian history and stories.

8 My Opinion I did not particularly enjoy this book. This book had a hard time grabbing my attention because there is not much action, and the book is unrealistic in the idea that sixth graders and a fourth grader would be able to make the shrines and rituals with fire and that they would not get noticed by pedestrians seeing smoke come from the yard of an antique shop.
