LX navigation Cup 2nd Day 04 may 2015

 Today, the first competition day, we will use Runway 16/18 for take offs. Runway in use for take off:  Do try to get your glider in place at the appropriate time. It’ll save hastle later in the day. Beware grid time is 11:30 and first take off is 11:45 !! 16 18

 Please, please, please, do not wait for the last minute to close your canopies.  When the gliders are in place, we will push them backwards, to use the maximum runway length.  You must be ready when it is your turn to take off. This is not the right time to make last checks.  After the take off, please have someone pick up the gear of the glider (wing-wheel, and so on), and move them sideways and back, out of the way.  Important : all cars must be left way out of the starting zone, and certainly not in front of the gliders, especially when using 16/18 ! Take offs:

 Towing : The tow planes will do their best to put you in a thermal, but if you hit one (thermal, not the tow plane !), please release before the 600m altitude, to improve the towing rate. The tow pilots have been told NOT to make their personal competition !!They have also been asked to space their landings in a convenient and effective manner.  Relights : If you need a relight, please radio your need in advance on 123.2 the competition frequency, and land on the runway which is not in use for the take-off. Towing:

 Radio your competition number 10 kilometers out, on 123.200 MHz. The center of the finish ring (3 kilometers radius) is over the centre of the airfield. You are required to enter the finish cylinder above 380m QNH (the day QNH will be published on the task sheet).  Remember „ingyensör” and „Zastonj pivo”.  Respect, and follow, the recommendations of the marshal on the radio. Arrival procedure:

Landings: Normal landings (direct or over flight, joining the runway in use, landing pattern West of the runway) will be on both runways (36-34). If there are several gliders landing at the same time, then please make long landings, a really long-long one, to the very end of the runway, and wait for the others to land as well, before towing your glider back to its parking place. After landing, you are always required to pull your glider out of the runway. Pilots should help one another moving the gliders off the runway. In case the main runway is totally busy, the secondary runway (18-36) is then available.
