12. Top Piece -Preparing Center Hole 8 ¼” 3 ¼” 1.Draw two straight lines from corner to corner. 2.Receive approval for layout from your teacher. 3.Mark the center of the top piece with an awl. 4.Prepare for drilling a 1” hole on the top piece.

13. Side Pieces-Layout for Dowel Hole Side B 1 ¼ ” Side A 2 ½ ” 1 ¼ ” 1.Find the center from top to bottom on both side pieces. 2.Draw the line. 3.Measure and layout 2 ½” from the top to find the center of the dowel hole. 4.Receive approval of layout. 5.Center punch center for drilling.

14. Bottom-Layout for Tray Hole 1 ¼ ” 2” 1.Measure and mark the center at 2” on the base plate. 2.Draw a straight line from end to end. 3.Measure and mark 1 ¼” to find the center of the tray. 4.Receive approval for layout from the teacher. 5.Center punch center for the 1 ¼” hole.
