3.  Gunshots are heard in the West Complex cafeteria. Numerous calls are made to 911, reporting they heard 30-40 gunshots.  ECC dispatches an active shooter CAD message, Nick Kell, Tom Berry, and Venessa Peters receive the call type #32 CAD message and join in a teleconference. Hospital Operators dispatch a Red Alert at 0808.  ECC dispatches all available rescue resources to the scene for a reported 35 casualties.  While listening to the scanner, there are unconfirmed reports that an individual has what appears to be a self inflicted GSW in the parking lot in front of the multistory bldg.  Multiple aircraft including Pegasus, AirCare5, and Lifeguard 12 have been placed on stand-by for possible movement of patients to other facilities.  In addition, an unexpected utility outage affecting the east zone of UH has taken out elevators 5 and 6.
