Yakupoglu has the technical capability of manufacturing all soling types such as Double density direct injected rubber (DDR) soles, Double density direct injected polyurethane soles (DDPU), Double density direct injected polyurethane/thermo polyurethane soles (PU/TPU), Double density direct injected polyurethane/rubber soles (PU/Rubber), Single density direct injected or vulcanized rubber soles (DV), Soles produced with Good Year Welt system, and Ready soles to all types of NATO and European Standards. Yakupoglu is the only manufacturer globally to have developed the ability to undertake large scale production of DDR injected soles for footwear which provides significant advantages to military and safety footwear. It is more durable, resistant to chemical and oil attack and retains better performance over a wider range of climatic conditions. The American Army has started the production and purchase of this technology. In terms of Whole Life Costs, DDR confers significant cost advantages. It costs the same as conventional PU/Rubber soled products, it has a significantly longer shelf-life, it does not rely on glues for sole bonding, it does not degrade in heat and cold, much lighter in weight but at the same time provides better operational performance for soldiers who carry heavy load carriage.
