2 Major Curricular Activities 1-Created intensive summer courses for three languages (8-10 units), phasing in the third language incrementally 2-Implemented 2 unit refresher courses during the academic year for those who completed summer intensive courses in Arabic, Persian, and Russian 3- Encouraged ROTC students to enroll regular fall and spring semester courses when time permits 4-Produced books, lessons, and course materials for intermediate and advanced level Arabic and Persian 5-Implemented student tracking forms 6-Conducted surveys for all programs

7 Leadership and the Way Ahead Dynamic working relationship between the language center and the ROTC cadre The NSEP grant application was conceived and written with input from the LARC Director and ROTC Cadre Immediate term, short term and long term goals were established Grow ROTC Student interest and participation Institutionalize Summer Language Scholarships Institutionalize Summer Language Classes and Conversational Maintenance Classes
