It was in great need of repair. These repairs had to be carried out with minimal disruption to the surrounding road network within a very tight schedule as not to impact on the greater project at the Wind Farm

3. Key points of interest about the initiative The proposed build was to box out 500mm put down Geo fabric and back fill with rock. Stabilime proposed an alternative using Stabilisation of the insitu material and just a small top up with rock. 5. Supporting data for the application  By using quick lime and cement it was possible to dry out the wet subgrade and keep working in the winter months  This provided a good platform for a FCR resheet and allowed 7.5km of road to be rebuilt in six weeks.  Cost savings achieved  Time line reduced  Reduced disruption achieved
