Prime meridian: An imaginary line that divides the globe into the eastern and western hemispheres. Regions: Places that have common characteristics; areas having no specific boundaries. Common characteristics: Same features that belong to a place or region. Longitude: Grid lines on a globe going north and south. Latitude: Grid lines on a globe going east and west.
