2. Born on March, 18th 1965 in Riedau, Upper Austria, Monika Fischer-Vorauer is a make-up artist for cinema and television. She is married with two daughters (born in 1991 and 1996) and currently lives in Vienna, Austria. In the past two decades, she was responsible for make-up on several national and international movie projects for cinema and television. As head make-up artist Monika Fischer-Vorauer oversaw project-based creative teams and developed make-up styles according to stage directions and screenplays. In addition to her creative activities, leading a team also involves managing the budget and commercial thinking. Before working as a freelancer in the film business, Monika Fischer-Vorauer was employed at the public television (ORF) and responsible for several television productions. After high school she finished her apprenticeship to become a hairdresser and wig maker. She has always dreamed of receiving training to become a make-up artist for theatre, which she successfully completed from 1984 until 1990 at the “Theater in der Josefstadt“. In addition, Monika Fischer-Vorauer participated in several international and Austrian seminars and workshops to broaden her technical knowledge. During her time as an independent cinema and television make-up artist she successfully passed the “ Berufsreifeprüfung“ in 2010. After several projects and work abroad Monika Fischer-Vorauer realised her lifelong dream of her own business and established the “Wiener Haarfundus“ in Vienna with her long-term colleague Andreas Meixner.
