10 TRADOC DCSINTThreats Internal threats often intensify during war. For instance, an enemy may incite or support anti- State activities by various segments of the State’s population. The future of the Kurdish people is a concern of the internal security forces of many middle eastern nations. The fear is that an enemy might support Kurds who want to violently establish a Kurdish homeland out of their territory.
