7 Vision: To facilitate excellence in Technical education in the State by augmenting academic and administrative procedures Mission: To facilitate awareness among Colleges in the State about processes and systems that can ensure quality enhancement and realization of goals set in Technical education. To move in the direction of an accreditation and audit system that enables mentoring more than monitoring. To arrive at a GBAP-AAA Score (Gujarat Board of Accreditation for Professional Courses-Academic and Administrative Audit) by assessing specific parameters for development. The GBAP-AAA Score to be used as a tool to identify the areas for special focus and improvement. To evaluate the performance of the institution and to identify the issues those are to be attended to in order to improve the quality of Teaching and Research.

8 Action Plan The design of forms for the GBAP-AAA score, in consultation of NBA forms. A team has to be constituted for the design of forms. A separate GBAP-AAA cell with necessary support staff and requisite infrastructure has to be constituted. The experts should be trained to access the GBAP-AAA score through central felicitating team under the supervision of CTE Each college is required to apply for GBAP-AAA score in a span of two to three years Each college will the informed about their strengths and weakness The accreditation should be made compulsory every five years Differential weights can be assigned to the areas : Academic Information 40% Systems & procedures 15% Administration 25% Infrastructure 20% Accreditation and Academic Audit Committee: Dr. Sonde (Convener) Prof. Ashwini Kumar, IIT-Gn Prof. N.R.Dave Prof Ramamurty Prof. Shivprakash, IISC, Banglore Prof. R.J.Joshi Prof. M.G.Bhatt Dr. Nandini Kanan

9 Vision: Assessment should be, first and foremost, about improving student learning and, Secondarily, about determining accountability for the quality of learning produced. Using varied, valid, and reliable assessment tools, information will be gathered and used to identify strengths and needs of individuals, schools, and the District as a whole. Questions should be of varying difficulty levels to cater to different levels of students’ competence. The questions, once prepared, may be vetted by the subject expert in terms of the validity and authenticity. For setting questions, the faculty may be paid Rs 50/- as remuneration. For vetting and finalizing the questions, Rs. 50/- may be paid as remuneration to the respective subject expert. While the Online On Demand Examination may be conducted throughout the Semester, periodicity of the exams may be worked out.
