YOU CAN CHOOSE TO DO: Either League of Nations or Crises of the Cold War 3 sections, 35 mins per section 4 mark describe – 2/3 detailed sentences (3-5 mins) 6 mark do you agree? – Analyse argument in the source, evaluate reliability and purpose, do you agree using your own knowledge (10- 13 mins) 10 mark bullet point – Describe, explain, assess (repeat, linking events) – conclude! (18-22 mins)

Your partner can have one guess per clue. Give them points depending on the amount of clues they need.

5 Paper Two 1hr 45mins Choose one topic from each section, 35 mins per section Section A – Tsarist Russia/Weimar Germany 4 mark – source suggest? 2 points from the source, plus one that you infer (develop with own knowledge – ONE SENTENCE!!) (5-6 mins) 6 mark – explain why. Point, evidence, explain x3 where possible (8- 12 mins) 10 mark – how useful is source about event? Analyse content (explaining why useful/limited with knowledge), evaluate nature, origin, purpose (explaining why useful/limited). Conclude (19-22 mins)

6 Section A - Tsarist Russia/Weimar Germany – Yes or no? 1.Research your topic 2.Pair up – you have up to a minute to ask yes/no questions about the other persons topic 3.Swap roles 4.Guess who/what your partner is by writing their name and your guess (ie, Mr Martin – Munich Putsch) on to a piece of paper – DON’T SHARE IT!! 5.Go around as many people as possible 6.Feedback and see how many answers you got right

Point, evidence, explain impact/effect x 3 (13-16 mins) 12 mark – Do you agree with interpretation? Point, evidence, explain, link (why do some historians believe this is true?), repeat for 2 other interpretations from your knowledge, conclude (19-22mins)
