7 Why do the Hy-Vee Triathlon? 1. Olympic Distance (1500m swim / 25mi bike / 10k run). 2. Venue is well laid out. Spectator friendly. Good location. 3. Professional race (detail, organization, Bike jersey, backpack, tech hat or visor – beats ‘em all!) 4.Watch the pros compete (Snowsill, Moffatt, Bennett(s), Reed, Haskins, McClarty, Gomez, Kemper..) 5. Big prizes for awardees (and top 5). 6. Eat at Zombie Burger after the race! Primary race sponsors are Hy-Vee and Pepsico

9 OK, tell me more… 1.$119-150 depending when you register. 2.3hrs 45 min drive from Lansing. 200 mi. Easy drive. 3.First stop – Hy ‐ Vee Hall, 730 3rd Street, Des Moines, IA, 50309 for Athlete’s brief and packet pick-up. Wristband Bib # / Helmet & frame stickers / Swim cap /TriTats (temporary tattoo) Goodie bag and Vendors’ Expo 5.Find Gray’s Lake State Park (swim venue and transition area) 6.Next stop – go drive the bike & run course. 7.Check into hotel, eat dinner, then turn in bike at Transition (2-8pm). 8.Try to get a good night sleep!

10 Everything is at Gray’s Lake now (Swim, Bike, Run, and Pros) The race may or may NOT be wetsuit legal (78.1*). Normally NOT! Single Transition. Start and Finish at Gray’s Lake. Run course is pretty flat. PARKING
