5 General 1GENERAL3.7 1.1 My induction covered the history, organisation and services of Lions Clubs International.3.7 1.2I have a good knowledge of the history of Lions Clubs International.3.6 1.3 I have a good understanding of the organisational structure of the association.3.8 1.4 I have a good knowledge of the Service Activities carried out by Lions Clubs International. 3.9 1.5 District provides a good service for the members and is good value for money3.5

6 District Governor Team 2DISTRICT GOVERNOR TEAM3.7 2.1 I find the District Governor Team visits to clubs worthwhile and informative.3.8 2.2 The District Governor Team are accessible, approachable and I feel I can discuss any issues I have with them3.9 2.3The District Secretary communication is worthwhile and informative.4.1 2.4 The District Treasurer provides the appropriate information regarding District financial matters.3.3 2.5 Zone Meetings are worthwhile and informative, providing guidance and information with opportunity to ask questions. 3.6 2.6 The Strategic Development Group looks at ways that can improve the District.3.3

7 Membership 3MEMBERSHIP3.6 3.1 I am familiar with the Membership programme and activities with the District3.4 3.2 Sufficient information is available regarding Recruitment, Retention and Extension of Club Members3.7 3.3 Sufficient support is available to assist weak clubs within the District 3.3 3.4 The ‘My Ideal Club’ initiative is known and used within the Clubs of the District.3.0 3.5 There is sufficient awareness and knowledge about the ‘Signature Projects’3.3 3.6 New members are required within Lions bringing new ideas and opportunity for additional service activities4.4 3.7More females members are required within the Clubs in our District3.9 3.8 Sufficient guidance and support is provided for the sponsors/mentors of new members.3.5

8 Community Services 4COMMUNITY SERVICES3.3 4.1 I am familiar with the Community Service programme and activities with the District3.6 4.2There are too many Community Service activities supported by the District.2.8 4.3 Sufficient information and support is given to Sight activities within the Community Service Programme3.5 4.4 Sufficient information and support is given to Diabetes activities within the Community Service Programme3.6 4.5 Sufficient information and support is given to Medic Alert activities within the Community Service Programme3.4 4.6 Sufficient information and support is given to Message in a Bottle activities within the Community Service Programme3.7 4.7 Sufficient information and support is given to Hearing, Speech and Physical Disabilities within the Community Service Programme3.1 4.8 Sufficient information and support is given to Special Olympics within the Community Service Programme3.1 4.9 There are other activities which should be included within the Community Service Programme.3.3

9 Youth 5YOUTH3.5 5.1 I am familiar with all the designated youth programmes and youth activities?3.3 5.2 Do the youth programmes meet the requirements of the young people within our community?3.1 5.3 Young people benefit from the Leo Clubs and Young Leaders in Service programmes. 3.7 5.4 MD Lifeskills Ltd. provides useful information which can be used by leaders within Schools, Scouts, Guides and Youth Clubs. 3.3 5.5 The Youth Football Competition should continue at District and promoted at MD.3.8 5.6We should be involved more with the Young with our communities.4.1

10 Communications 6COMMUNICATIONS3.4 6.1 I am familiar with the Communications programme and activities with the District 3.3 6.2 We have a strong corporate image within the local and national community.3.2 6.3 We communicate the Lions activities nationally and locally to promote the work we are involved with.3.4 6.4 The District Newsletter communicates the activities clubs within the District are involved with.3.9 6.5The District Website provides useful information for our members.3.8 6.6 District Competitions are well supported and give opportunity for recognition of members and clubs.3.0 6.7 Information is shared and readily available about activities and fundraising events carried out by clubs3.3

11 Leadership 7LEADERSHIP3.7 7.1 I am familiar with the Leadership programmes available from the District 3.6 7.2 The training available is relevant for the requirements of District and Club Officers3.7 7.3 Members are encouraged to participate in the District training programmes 3.9 7.4 More training could be provided by the District for District Officers, Club Officers and Club Members. 3.5 7.5 The location of the training venues and the facilities are appropriate for the District Training programmes. 3.6

12 Administration 8ADMINISTRATION3.4 8.1 I am familiar with the Administration support available from the District. 3.4 8.2 Sufficient information is available regarding Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.3.3 8.3 Information is available from District regarding Insurance provisions and issues.3.5 8.4 Information is available from District regarding Legal provisions and issues. 3.3 8.5 District Conventions are relevant, meaningful, and enjoyable and members are encouraged to attend. 3.5 8.6 Clubs are encouraged to submit Resolutions to change the District Constitution and the way District operates. 3.3

13 International 9INTERNATIONAL3.4 9.1 I am familiar with the International programme available from the District. 3.3 9.2 Sufficient information is available regarding LCIF programmes and how clubs can contribute.3.5 9.3 Sufficient Information is available regarding North Sea Lions and the involvement of District.3.2 9.4 Twinning is worthwhile and encourages working with other clubs in other Countries.3.6 9.5 Europa Forum is a good way to communicate and encourages the youth of Europe to be involved with the association.3.2

14 District 105E What action do we take ? The decision is yours ! Do nothing ‘If you keep on doing what you’ve always been doing, you’ll keep on getting what you’ve always been getting’. Collect more information Put off the decision Put forward a plan to ; Strengthen the Pride Increase ‘Value for Money’
