2 An indirect object is the recipient of a verb in a sentence. For instance, if you said “My mother gave the cat to me”, me would be the indirect object. Why? Because it answers the question “to whom was the cat given”? The cat is the direct object because it answers the question “what was given?”. 4 I saw him give the bread to you. (“you” would change to “te” in spanish) Dad brought the dog to my grandfather. (“grandfather” would change to “le”) She put the food in front of them. (“them” would change to “les”) My brother gave the cd to me. (“me” would change to “me”) Our mother bought the truck for us. (“us” would change to “nos”)

El chico da las dulces a mí. changes to English: The boy gives the candy to me. 4. Compré los refrescos para ellos. changes to English: I bought the drinks for them. 5. Da la bulsa a nosotros. changes to English: She gives the purse to us. 6. Compré los zapatos para ti. changes to English: I bought the shoes for you. 7. El padre da el dinero a los miños. changes to English: The dad gives the money to the kids.
